Doing The Christian Walk With A Funky Strut

2015 Books

Better late than never…

‘Israel, My Beloved’–Kay Arthur.  Given to me by a member of our Worship Team.  Israel’s post-Solomon struggles, in novel form.  Puts a more personal spin on God’s relationship with His people.  Interesting read.

‘The Knowledge of the Holy’–A.W. Tozer.  An attribute of God per chapter, written as only Tozer writes.  No sugar coating here.  Referenced by Chip Ingram in his book/teaching series ‘Overcoming Emotions that Destroy’; glad I picked it up.  It’s wonderful to have a relationship with the Creator of the universe, but we modern Christians must be careful to not bring God down to our level in order to maintain that relationship…we have to respect Him for all that He is.
